Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Calibrate ("we," "our," or "us") is a personal reflection app developed by Calibrate Within. This policy describes how Calibrate handles information when you use the Calibrate mobile application (the "App").

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Calibrate is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or account credentials (no account is required)
• Your reflections, notes, session data, or check-in history
• Location data, contacts, photos, or files
• Analytics, usage metrics, or behavioral tracking data
• Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking information

All routine data, session reflections, blocks, weekly reflections, and notes are stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

3. Local Storage

The App uses the following local storage mechanisms:

• SQLite database: Stores routines, occurrences (sessions and check-ins), reflection blocks, and weekly reflections. This database exists only on your device.
• AsyncStorage: Stores app preferences such as notification settings, onboarding completion status, your display name (if provided), and subscription status cache. This data remains on your device.

If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

4. Notifications

Calibrate may request permission to send local notifications for:

• Session nudges: Silent, non-interruptive reminders during focused sessions to help you pause and reflect.
• Daily check-in reminders: An optional reminder at a time you choose to complete your daily reflections.
• Weekly reflection reminders: An optional reminder on a day you choose to look back on the week.

All notifications are generated and scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in the App or in your device's Settings.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Calibrate offers optional paid plans through Apple's App Store: a yearly auto-renewable subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, process, or store your payment information.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• The yearly subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• The lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-recurring charge.
• Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies.

Subscription validation occurs locally using Apple's StoreKit framework. No subscription data is transmitted to any server controlled by us.

6. Third-Party Services

Calibrate does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services. The only third-party interaction is with Apple's StoreKit for subscription management, which operates under Apple's own privacy policies.

7. Children's Privacy

Calibrate does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require an account and does not collect personal information from any user.

8. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's built-in security (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and device encryption). We do not have access to your data and therefore cannot be a vector for data breaches.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data persists on your device for as long as the App is installed. To delete all data:

• Delete the Calibrate app from your device. This permanently removes all local data including routines, reflections, and preferences.

Since we do not store any data on servers, there is no additional data to request deletion of.

10. Your Rights

Because Calibrate does not collect or store personal data on any server, traditional data subject rights (access, correction, portability, erasure) are fulfilled by your direct control over the data on your device. You can view, modify, or delete your data at any time within the App.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
